Udangudi Port:
Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) is developing this captive port by establishing an open sea jetty to receive coal for their 1320 MW Udangudi Super Critical Thermal Power project at Thoothukudi District.

Infrastructure/Facilities:
TANGEDCO has constructed a trestle jetty for handling Coal through a closed conveyor System, for their Thermal Power Plant (Proposed) at Udangudi. Port will commence operations soon.
